On Monday, I was on the phone with Charis in my room and Michael came in I was like, 'What?!?' He was like Mum got us this and I saw what he was carrying. I told Charis to hold on and double checked my eyes. It wasn't possible. Michael was holding HBP. He said
Mum got it. I was just shocked. Why was Mum so nice? She had argeed with Dad when he said to get the paperback edition and now Michael was holding it. I kept saying that to Charis but she was like,'' Maybe your mum knows that you're a fan of HP." "That would be hard not to notice." "Maybe she's being nice." "Maybe." I agreed that Mum was just being nice.
The next day, I found out why Mum was so nice. She knew someone in the book printing industy and that person had agreed to sell it to her for a discount. I should have known. She would get it at 40 bucks if she could at a lesser price. She thought that the hardcover was better than the paperback edition 'cause the words were bigger, better for the eyes. So that combined with the discount, she obviously got it.
I'm not complaining though. As long as she didn't steal it (that is impossible), I'm fine with it. The point is I GOT HBP!!!
